Cherrygrove is a city? Quite small for one.

Usually it means your Pokémon gain new abilities, like... a really useful one is Fly, 'cause then your Pokémon can fly you around places really quickly.

I believe their names are all: Murkrow, Hoothoot, and Pidgey.

I dunno about Murkrow, but I've heard Hoothoot gets really big, when it evolves. Like, as tall as a person. Pidgey also gets pretty big, too!

Yeah, you have to travel very, very far before you can get the Fly HM. I think they'll probably be big enough by then! I'm gonna teach my Pidgeot how to Fly, so I think you won't have any problems with that.

How far? Not that I mind the distances, but I would like to take it into consideration.
