Once I was young, yesterday perhaps....
And the Lorenz Hart words start the classic I Didn't Know What Time it Was, I am reflecting and renewing as I celebrate my natal day. The end of Summer, The Beginning of Autumn. Out with the Virgo, in with the Libra.
Life is currently a time of refocused energies. I did not seek elected office for the current two year term of office for the extracurricular office of Secretary-Treasurer. The offices were combined and I attempted to do excellent work for four years. The current offices are once again separated. The Treasurer is doing a great job. The Secretary has already resigned and a new (more competent) person has been appointed. I will be working with them to get them on their toes. I am always available to advise and assist them.
I took the summer off to rest and get somewhat restored. With the autumn, I will be involved with political action to some degree (Virginia and New Jersey are the only states with statewide elections this November). All those outside funds and groups will be itching to get on the airwaves. Progress versus regression. We have been moving forward for the last three Presidential elections so there is hope.
I will want to get involved/participate in community theater. There are, at least, five community theaters in the area. I am realistic that I need to do basic and behind the scenes tasks before I get my follow spot. (Cue Daisy Eagan and Broadway Baby).
Two Pembroke Welsh Corgis and a PhD husband (a teacher at the collegiate level) and a house that is being considered modified to modernize and be potential rental income (with possible care of my mother in law requiring us to live with her).
Changes and active goals to make the world a better place. We can do it!
