My brother's MFA Thesis show reception on cinco de mayo.

This update is long over due. I was just really lazy about getting all pictures uploaded to binrock and then adding comments and tags.

My brother's prints were all amazing. Lee used a minimum of at least 2 different printing processes on every print. He even embossed a few of the images. The reception was a lot of fun, and Lee's friends were all cool. After the reception ended at 10pm, Lee and I were able to talk my sister, mom and dad to go to this bar named Slinky's which is right next to LSU's campus. First of all of the buildings very close to LSU's campus are extremely grimy. Lee and Ryan had described it to me as a great dive bar with beads and underwear hanging from the ceiling. It is an awesome bar. For all the Clemson people, imagine a bar a little smaller than Sloan Street with a Nick's style beer selection (and liquor drinks). The walls are covered with photos and old posters and hanging from the ceiling is a ton of beads, bras, panties, and boxer-shorts. Oh yeah, the bathrooms were covered in porn and graffiti. My entire family and some of my brother's friends stayed out drinking until a little after 3am. After that we went to this locally owned Waffle House type place called Louie's.
Louie's had much better lighting than Slinky's which is kind of a bad thing since Louie's was at least as grimy as Slinky's. This place had the hottest food I have ever eaten. I ordered a waffle and hashbrowns. My brother told me not to order the hashbrowns because I wouldn't like them. I responded with something similar to "fuck you. I'm getting the hashbrowns." I should of listened to my brother.
The hashbrowns came covered in this brown seasoning that looked a little like seasoning salt. I started eating the hashbrowns. They were one of the hottest foods I have ever eaten. I kept eating them while thinking that it is a little odd that when you order plain hashbrowns in Baton Rouge you get insanely spicy food. After I had finished off about half of the plate, I had to stop eating. I started to get these sharp pains from my stomach. That meal was the first time in my life that spicy food has caused me pain (besides the sensation in your mouth that you are expecting). It was crazy.

And, I am still waiting.
