So I'm over my early-life crisis....for the most part. Ok, not really. It's crazy, b/c all of a sudden I think about my life and everything I have done compared to everything I wish I had done. Everything I missed out on, what I should have been focused on, etc. So I get really depressed and disillusioned with my life, but then I'm over it, but then I'm depressed again. I told Shajuana I think I'm crazy. Which is entirely possible.
So anyway, last Tuesday I had a sales presentation. We presented a ficitonal sales proposal to a fictional meeting planner for a ficitonal hotel. Good times. The prof said it was the best one he'd seen yet, out of I think 9 presentations, which is cool. I have to say that it was the best group project I've ever done. My group was great, we always had a good time when we got together, and we all did what we were supposed to. So that was Tuesday, and on Wednesday I had planned to go to my 2 classes, go to work, and leave around 6, after rush hour. Mmmmmm, right. Now, I don't like driving I-96 at night as it is, b/c the people who do are insane. But I was looking at the sales forcast and it was supposed to start snowing at 2 and continue, getting worse. So I ended up skipping my 2nd class (and we got extra points that day too :P) and left. The highways were still not the best at 3, but at least I wasn't driving in the dark and the snow.
Thanksgiving was good, JoAnne did an amazing job, as usual. I've told her and Uncle Sherm that they are going to make me dependent on them. I refuse to touch a dead turkey. I've just barely gotten around to cooking chicken, beef is around the corner, but a whole turkey? I think not. Did you know that they not only give you the gizzards wrapped up inside the turkey, but they also give you the neck? Can we say ewwwww? But yeah, Uncle Sherm left for Florida this morning, and do you know what that means? I got all the leftovers! Sadly, there was not as much as I had hoped, but it was still a decent amount.
Friday. Ahhhh, Friday. I did not originally plan to go shopping on Friday, but looking at the inserts on Thursday, Target had Aladdin and Mulan for $13! Circuit City had only Aladdin for $11, but I didn't know if I wanted to chance that Mulan may be on sale as well. Soooooooo, I got up at 5:30, and was at Target at 5:55. Wrapped around the building! It was crazy. I changed my mind twice, but did end up heading in. It wasn't that bad? I got Aladdin and the 2nd to last copy of Mulan, had no wait at the register, and was out of there by 6:11. I didn't really want to spend all that much $, and although I'm sure there were more things I would have loved to buy, I just left. Went to Marshall Field's b/c they had jeans by "A Famous American Designer" on sale. I kid you know, that's what the ad said. It drove me nuts, b/c no one could tell me what they were or where they were. So I tried on some jeans, but left buying nothing. Circuit City was right around the corner, so I figured I'd check there b/c they had some $5 DVDs. Mind you, I got there at only 6:45. And it was crazy! there had to have been at least 5 registers open, each with its own line to the back of hte store and wrapped around. Suffice it to say, I left. And I was home by 7:17. So I got what I really wanted, but I have decided that people who shop the early bird specials on Black Friday are CRAZY! INSANE! PSYCHOTIC! Enough said.
Also got the car fixed on friday. I can't remember if I mentioned that the last time I got hte oil changed they broke my car. So yeah, got that fixed, my one tire had a slow leak, so got that fixed, and apparently the front breaks were almost shot. I have decided that I must get the car looked at more often. :-D
I have this 10-15 page paper due in my anthropology class, right? I was supposed to spend all Friday working on it. Didn't happen. So I figure, ok, Saturday. Didn't happen. So basically, I'm screwed. B/c I had wanted my prof to look at it, but it's due in 2 weeks. So lets say that I could get it done by friday morning, he looks at it over the weekend, and we discuss Monday and I fix it and turn it in on friday the 10th. Ha! There's no way I can get it done by this friday. And if I don't, then lets say I hand it in Monday. So basically, there would be 5 days for him to look it over, give it back, and me to fix it. Yeah. That'll happen. I am so unbelievably screwed. Why do I do this to myself? On the upside, one group project is done, 2 to go, and one is looking ok. The other? Well, we'll see.
