Ok, so it took me awhile to update. My bad. I have a lot of stuff to cover, so bear with.
The Apartment:
So yeah, I was the first to arrive, and I'm looking around. I looked at my room, then Micah's room. Then I proceed to go back to the office and ask why my room was completely filthy and had not been cleaned. Apparently I was getting new carpet (good) b/c the former tenants were disgusting (bad) and so the cleaning crew just hadn't bothered to do anything (bad) and I could not move anything in b/c I wouldnt be getting carpet until the following week (very bad). I finally got my carpet and officially moved in, but it took awhile. Then we couldnt get our internet for 3 weeks, which was hell on earth. Sure I had basically lived w/o the internet for 6 monthes in FL, but suddenly I was in withdrawal.
Classes:
So far so good. I *passed* all of my tests so far. Meaning that techically I did not fail, but thats all. Some of my classes are really interesting, some not so much. My anthropology class is lots of fun - Great Discoveries in Archeology. HB Sales and Marketing not so fun, but I know these are 2 classes that will really benefit me. HB Accouting stinks, as does Law. Again, surviving by a thread.
Life:
I have suddenly gotten very sad as I realize all of my friends are graduating. I'm happy I made such good friends, but my only mistake was making friends with all upperclassmen. My 3 roommates are all graduating this year, Micah this December and Shajuana and Elon this Spring. Sigh. I have also finally gotten involved in an HB club, Professional Convention Management Association. So that should be fun. I realized that I have to join more stuff or I'll be left all alone next year when everyone graduates. My problem is that I'm both lazy and a homebody, so I'm content to stay here with the roomies. I've gone to some of the Swing Dancing dances (Alissa is right, it is a lot of fun), but it conflicts with PCMA, so I there are issues with that every other week. I absolutely, positively loathe my job, but at this point if I change jobs I start at the bottom of the pay ladder and I won't have the same flexibility.
That's all I can remember for now. I think I've cought myself up from where I left off, but I'll undoubtedly think of something else.
