The Puzzle Mug.

This was the unexpected hit of my summer job, and I couldn't keep up with the demand.

 This is the mug before.....

Holes are made in the side, and holes are placed in the rim and at the bottom.

The handle is also hollow, and when attached will act as a straw.

A coil is rolled out which will become the spouts around the rim.

The cut pieces of coil are pierced and rolled into the small spouts.

The spouts are attached...and the mug is ready for drying.

Edit: Because I was interrupted I didn't write what puzzle mugs were all about, which would have been, you know,  helpful.

Puzzle mugs were an extremely popular form of tavern entertainment from roughly the 16th all the way into the 19th century--throughout Europe and into America. They were literally the precursor to the dribble glass, and often were inscribed with a challenge: "Come gentlemen, come try your skill, I'll hold a wager if you will, that you can't drink this liquor all without you spill or let some fall."

The game was to see who could figure out how to successfully imbibe the ale from the mug without soaking their shirt, and as you can imagine as the evening wore on more and more people probably got drenched. Apparently spilling beer all down your front was hilarious, but hey, this is how people entertained themselves in pubs before big screen TVs and karaoke.
