Catching Up

Okay, I'm waaaaay behind on posting anything even remotely clay related, so I'll try to remedy that now.

I just started working at the museum last week for school group presentations. I haven't thrown on a kickwheel for 10 years, and I'm really out of shape, so there was an element of uncertainty regarding whether or not I'd be fine, or suck.

I was relieved to find that I didn't suck. What's especially scary though, is how all that information that I would use in my presentations just came right back--as if I never left.

These are the cups I threw on the first day....we had almost 300 kids come through, and each cup is one demo.....

I managed to trim/finish a few things yesterday...I'm undecided on carving a decorative band around the neck of the vase.

So much unfinished work!

I should have a fairly decent inventory in the museum store by the time we open full time for the season.

Now, if I could just find time to produce some work at home for my wholesale customer......*sigh*
