lunch game
After a hectic week for the both of us, Butch and I met at lunch again today. I alternated between playing very well, as when I found a 2x2x PESTERS for 99 on the third play, and not so well, as when I missed (S)ALARIED, instead trying RADIALE(S)*, just three turns later. I was actually more sad with writing down, but not playing, the word MOVELES(S) the turn before. I shoulda just trusted my instinct. I got RADIALE the turn after he challenged off my phony, so things weren't all bad. I also missed UNPOI(S)ED late in the game, which would have wrapped the win up nicely. Instead I let his (N)INJITsu* stay on the board because I figured the only way I could lose was for it to come back good. I played out in two and won with a score of 439-405, but the missed bingos cost me a boatload of equity points--I lost a total of 189 in the game.
