(no subject)
1. Can you become dependent on benedryl? I've been taking it daily to deal with bandage itchies. Was going to not take it tonight because I got the stitches out, but whatever is blooming in the neighborhood is making me want to claw my eyes out. (Seriously NOLA, that rain you've been threatening for the last two days? The one that's causing this migraine? Can we have that rain?)
2. Went to the orthopedist today for follow up from hip surgery. He was well pleased. I'm to use the crutches for anything long term (i.e. shopping trip) but am clear for walking unaided at home (i.e. from the couch to the kitchen or computer chair to bathroom). I get to start PT a week earlier than previously assumed.
3. I was on pinterest today looking at what was new in the Heian Era stuff and noticed someone had started a board about "cultural appropriation" and pinned a SCA re-enactor I have a hell of a lot of respect for. There is a time and a place for nasty comments on the internet. I understand that. But maybe people should read the sites they're calling out. Because wodefordhall.com has a ton of information and resource links for English speaking people who are interested in medieval Japan. It's just ... flames. Flames on the side of my face. (In the interests of my sanity I did not look at that persons board and didn't see who else they were being nasty about.)
