I Am Not Dead.

everybody notice! pat lemieux and i are having a casual rock show tomorrow. at oyster creek park at 3PM we are thinking. bring some frisbees and hotdogs and friends and a dollar if you want the new salty texas recording. pat is going to play the new part to his solstice song (i think he said it is about a bear cub but i am not sure) and i am going to play some stuff on my newly stringed guitar.
and then that night i am going to see stevie play at helios. mainly though to see sterling stitches austin play in his anarcho politcal punk band (fuzzy bass) but also to see steve.
man i got a fucking lame ticket last night. APPARENTLY it is against the law to turn left onto shepard from westheimer. FUCK that. and the cop was a real dick too. mean black dude with an atti'tude. fuck you officer P.A. McRae. go arrest some crack smokers instead of spending your 1AM's pulling over white teeenagers for turning simple safe lefts and hurting no one. what a dick.
steve and i tonite are going to grant keatons going away blowout party in houston tonite. i kinda don't wanna go but what the hell. austin told us to go, and if nothing else i can help steve find a scene girl. i told himto wear his finest blazer and to pump the bright eyes all day and he'll be fine.

seriously though, i think the cops are cracking down the helios area with regards to people and drinking and driving. seriously, they are like vultures and everytime i am down there i see like 8 cop cars. somethings up.....
i really wanna start a dance punk band and call it 'dance party'. but only if i could do it with a drummer like chris and a keyboardist like kelly dewitt. on the other hand though, i'd also like to just play in a more punk rock kinda band with less dancy but still catchy bass rythems. then of course there is the idea of making salty texas into a larger folk pop unit with more members than just myself. maybe some drums. an oboe. a fiddle. a banjo. and a harp.
that's what i want to do.
i am leaving sunday.
