Multiple Posts - Cool Cook Book : Bounty From The Box- check out & share
I am home sick for the 2nd day in a row. :( I didn't want to take 1 day off, let alone 2 but my body had other options. I have been fighting headaches since Sat off and on and yesterday & today have felt sick to my stomach & a bit vertigo-ish. There was no way I could concentrate yesterday & felt pretty much the same today. I have to push myself to go in tomorrow, I really really can't afford to take a 3rd sick day, I have 5.6 sick days already & the surgery means I'm looking at at least 10 work days off, if not 40-60 work days depending on what happens with the surgery type.
I have been wanting to post a few things but haven't had time or felt well enough. Going to do this in mini-posts.
The first one is about a cool cook book that I would highly recommend all of you who are into cooking check out. It is coming out mid-Sept so you can pre-order now if you are interested. It is called Bounty From The Box. It was created with all kinds of recipes, tailored to those who get CSA farm boxes especially but think any of us can use it because it looks like it has a lot of good info.
Here is a blurb the book: "This is an enormous book, with 92 different types of fruits, veggies, and herbs covered, over 350 delicious recipes listed, and tipping in at a hefty 712 letter-size pages. It also contains 90 sidebar essays on farming, food, and nutrition, some of them written by farmers themselves." I am excited about this book, it looks like it has a lot going for it. Christmas is in 3 months, put it on your list!

It is the creation of a talented artist, Mi Ae Lipe. She is a graphic artist and author. She created a couple of Magical World coloring books that I bought back in the late 80's and carted through life with me (until I gave one away).
