The news of the 7+ earthquake in Nepal has hit me hard. I don't have time to go into it all right now, but wanted to put this info up for my friends at DW & LJ. Please consider helping, either with direct monetary donations or do some fundraising to help raise money for these organisations. I want to try to do some fundraising at work, I don't know if I'll be able to (long story but will give it an ask after the holiday weekend).
Some reputable relief organisations you can donate for those affected by the Nepalese earthquake.
This is link is from one of my uni friends who is in Nepal (I think he lives in Nepal permanently). I don't know anything about the project but do trust him:

https://my.care.org/site/Donation2?18840.donation=form1&df_id=18840 Here is a link to a FB vid from the BBC. I visited this temple many times in my stay in Kathmandu. It is shocking to see.
https://www.facebook.com/bbcnews/videos/10152758034327217/ Nepal is a very poor country, with many of the buildings in the older parts of Kathmandu being particularly unstable & the water/sewage/electric lines being especially prone to disruption. Many people in Nepal live at or below the global poverty line. This is going to be devestating on an individual level, a cultural level (many old temples have been destroyed) & at a nation-wide level. Please consider donating, please share these links.
