I'm tired, almost too tired to peel myself up from the couch & head into bed.

Realised I'm tired because I made 4 dozen cookies and a dozen tortillas (then turned those into 6 packs of twin burritos for lunches).

Cookies were adapted from this eggless recipe: http://www.egglesscooking.com/2008/03/17/my-first-recipe-post-apple-raisin-muffin/

We get fruit deliveries at work, enough for a piece per day. When I was on leave 2 weeks ago they accidentally delivered on the Friday instead of the Wed so last week there were a lot of apples that people weren't eating. A bunch of them were at the "really, eat me or else" stage with wrinkly skin and the occasional small spot. I brought some home and made the above recipe, added some dried cranberry I had around and some spices like ground ginger and stuff. They seem to have turned out really well and since there are about 80 people on our floor I figured I wanted to make something as many people can enjoy (at least 1 person who doesn't eat eggs, possibly a few other vegetarians). They turned out really well so if you have eggless friends (or need to whip something up quick and don't have eggs on hand) give it a try.

Otherwise, I'm well. I've got about a hands-length (undrawn) of my necklace knit up for the contest & it's taken 5 1/2 hours so far. I'll do some more work on it later this week. I'm going to knit a lot of the black and antique copper spiral I'm doing & once I think I might have enough then I'll narrow down the many ideas I have.

We've survived the storms fortunately, not been hit too bad unlike the central/southern part of the country. It was really nippy out there today. When I went out at 1:30pm it was about 9C/48F and we're not getting hit with the cold like the southerners are!

Bed time now. I hope you are all hanging in there.
