I am sick. Again. Sore throat, congestion.

Can the year be over now?

I plan to go to work, I went today. I've got too much on at this point and have taken too long off this year. This one feels like a normal cold at the moment, not a nasty flu. I'm taking an herbal mixture to boost my immunity, vitamin C/echinacea/garlic, decongestants (damn it I can't find the box and I just bought it, took one this morning). I also bought a water bottle with a carbon filter yesterday because I noticed that I really don't like the taste of the water at the house, which is one reason why I don't drink a lot of it. It replaced my bottle at my bedside, I've had that one for several months.

It's called a Water Bobble and mine has a yellow filter. I wanted a green one but they only had yellow, black and light blue. There is a green replacement cartridge so I can trade it out when I've used the yellow filter up. I don't buy a lot of water bottles, I do try to use them a lot until they're just about falling apart or growing green things. The nice thing about the Bobble, besides filtering the taste of the chlorine out, is that they are BPA free, made from recycled & recycleable materials, and made in the US. We have filtered water at work so I don't need one for there. But it will come in handy for our Relay for Life!

Ok, time to wander off towards bed. I have a good Simon Green book and between being sick and not quite yet caught up with the Spring-Forward our time did this weekend I need to get some rest.

PS-- I started this post with the intention of posting this from Not Always Right. You know you are sick when 1) you are extra emotional at a silly story like this and the (2) you forget to post about it!
Here's the story. And I can say that it is an indication of the generous Kiwi spirit I've encountered too. There are ratbags out there but there's also some good people like these around.
