Ok gosh darn it, I just want to post some pictures. I have enough that I could probably be sharing pictures for months. I have enough pictures for two dozen facebook albums, if I were so inclined. And I have only seen a handful of pictures actually taken by my photographer. These ones are just from family members. But they are still pretty amazingly pretty.
You know you want to take a peek!
We met under our tree before the ceremony and took pictures around campus. This is from when Jason first saw me all made up and wearing my dress.
Our families. I will forever love Jeff (our friend who married us) for wandering around behind our photographer and making ridiculous faces so our smiles would be genuine.
Me with our flower girl, Charlotte. She is the daughter of Jason's former roommate and "groom's girl" Laura. Charlie was pretty shy with all the people around, but we finally got a smile out of her. She was excited that she and I were the only ones who got to wear white.
Bride and Groom!
Awesome. Let me say that again, AWE-SOME photo. (Also, according to UCR legend, we should be fined $150 for picking oranges... worth it!!)
A kiss in an orange grove....
The bride's side:
Ring bearer : Amy
Bridesmaids: Rebecca and Alison
Maid of Honor: Simone
The groom's side:
Best man: Nick
Groomsmen: Jonathan and Laura
Flower girl: Charlotte
This is the only picture I have of us from the ceremony so far. Jason's dad switched over to the video camera at that point. My photographer sent this as a teaser. Gorgeous, isn't it? I'll probably have to do another photo spam when I get more from her.....
Our reception: at the Alumni Center's Arroyo Vista Cafe.
Our tables! We had real bonsai trees as our center pieces, which were appropriately symbolic since we got married under a tree. It was additionally meaningful since Jason is half Japanese and I study Japanese literature and culture. His mom also made us 1000 paper cranes, which hung on an arch by the cake table.
Our Favors were purple flower pots with a design showing the tree we got married under on it. We gave them away with little packets of seeds. Jason's mom hand painted all the pots.
The lemony goodness known as wedding cake.
After our first dance, Jonathan Rick-Rolled us. That is correct, we got Rick Rolled at our wedding.
Never gonna give you up.... Never gonna let you down.....
Signing of the certificates! At the end of the night, Jeff takes care of our last bit of official business!
We spent our first two blissful days of married life at the historic Mission Inn in downtown Riverside. After that, we honeymooned in Vegas. Our room at the Luxor hotel was quite extravagant. We didn't win it big, but we explored the strip a bit and did saw the Circ du Soleil show Ka, which was nifty. Coming home was one of the hardest things I've ever done.....
