*Grabs a coke*
Okay, so I'm not posting today to complain about my job. I like work, I got paid today, that is really good. However I just really need to vent about the bad day I had today and if it happens to include work...well what can I say.
So, I woke up this morning feeling really ready for today. I had a good sleep (very comfy) got up at a decent time, had breakfast, and even did my devotions. My bad day didn't start until I left the house for work at 11:31am. I locked the front door, took about 10 steps down the sidewalk then realized that I forgot to put deoderant on! However, I didn't go back because I didn't want to be late for work. So I get to work and ask my supervisor (Laura) what she wanted me to do today. She takes me to a pallet and points out some boxes and says, here put out the "President's Choice" stuff here (and she pointed to a specific spot on a shelf). So I spend about an hour doing that and other little things. Then as I'm happily working she walks up to me and gives me a look that I have to call the "Laura Look". It means that she is about to ask me something that I don't want to hear. So she tells me that all the stuff I just spent an hour organizing has to go in a different place. She also takes me to a display consisting of about 6 fourfoot shelves that have dishes neatly arranged on them (that I myself worked on for 4 hours) and says, "Sorry, this stuff can't stay here." (She told me to put there last week). So this display had to be moved somewhere else, but we had to make room for it and that took a while. So by the time I start moving these dishes to their new spot I am pretty angry. (I never really show my anger, but I had told Laura that I was mad about the whole situation). Just as I'm starting to move the large dinner plates I start thinking about dropping them and how awful that would be (because the whole store would hear the loud noise and it would be extremely embarassing) when I fumble and 6 plates go flying out of my hands onto the floor causing 2 of them to shatter and the rest to just make a really loud noise. *cringe*
Ya, after that was finally done (and swept up) , I took to moving around pillows and fleece throws since they are soft and quiet and kinda fun to organize. So that was better. There is this one guy who works in Grocery and I like to talk to him sometimes (We used to have lunch break together) and he was teasing me about the plates a bit. "Go slower!" as he walks by etc. Ya, but I didn't really mind that too much since he has always been really nice to me. But ya, so I'm still working with the pillows and Laura comes by and asks me to move something else and explains why they had to be moved, then she stops, and says, "Wait, Lory what time do you work 'til today?" and I say "Five. Why?" Then I look at my watch and it's already 5 after 5.
So it's been a long day, but now that I'm home, it'll get better. Me and Julie watched "The Phantom of the Opera" last night, but didn't quite understand it so I think we are going to watch it again. : )
EDIT: Discovered last night that I went to work half an hour early because I thought it was Wednesday! Lol...Crazy me.
Praise God (He never changes)!!!
