Another updated! Yay!
Things are not as boring in my little corner of the world. I'm not sure if I've mentioned the
Popocatepetl volcano here. It's a volcano that is about 45 miles away from the city. It's been active since the nineties but for the last couple of years its activity has increased and now it looks like we may have an eruption. I mean, we haven't had this critical stage before so it may erupt or it may slow down again but according to the Civil Protection government office the danger scale is in the previous step before the red stage which means eruption.
The volcano is not that close to the city so we aren't in danger, but is close enough for us to have some volcanic ash if wind points to our direction. That's exactly what has happened in the last couple of days. Most of the city it's been covered by a thin layer of ash. My roof, for example, has a greyish layer of fine milled dust. The last days we have had rain so it has mixed with water which has disguised the ash very well in most parts of the city, except the southwest boroughs which are closer to the volcano.
Check this photo gallery of one of our newspapers so you can see how the places closest too the volcano look:

And if you are outside for a long period of time you feel some discomfort in your throat but that's all.
I hope that nothing serious happens, I know that the people who live close to the crater have been given instructions of what do do. The volcano has been active long enough for people to be ready and for once the government has tried its best to be prepared. The only thing people can do is wait and be ready.
So, how's your weekend?
