Ouchie!

Well, I was removed from James Marsters' Official FB page, I was also banned from commenting there. All I said was that there were fans upset because the email they sent earlier didn't reach them. I guess this speaks volumes from their part.

I'm so sorry. I'm stunned by just how badly this whole situation has been handled. There's no need for vitriolic behaviour (and let's face it, some fans are vitriolic), but I honestly can't understand why you've been banned over what you said. *hugs*

I'm also stunned, I read Himber's response and I just think he is as vitriolic as some fans, specially because he did confirm, by email to some fans, that James was a guest at the Hub. Why not simply said that they were negotiating and final decision wasn't made? I think Steve has to assume his blame and carry on.

I completely agree with you. I think JM's management really need to take a good, hard look at how they conduct their business. I think they're doing more harm to JM's fanbase than they realise they are. I know I, for one, will have to think long and hard before attending another JM event in the future. I just don't trust them any more. :/

From what I saw in that page, all comments mentioning the email Steve sent yesterday were deleted.

As for banning her, maybe it was a decision based upon the fact that she posted the email openly and her post was the first option if you googled for the announcement.

This is me speculating here.

I think you're probably right, unfortunately. I don't think Ana did anything wrong by sharing the email, though. If SH didn't want it to be shared, he should have said so in the original email - or better still, not have sent it out to a select few at all. :/

It's a sad state of affairs, and I'm just sorry that Ana got caught up in the crossfire.

I don't think it was like that. First, my FB account is not linked to my lj username. It was for a while but I removed it. The only way I can see it possible is if somebody who knows me gave them the heads up.

The email didn't say to keep it private, I agree with Cal, if they wanted discretion they should have chosen carefully who they wanted to know the news and second, they should have say not to share it.

I hate those kind of things, chosen fans always opens the door for wank and sending a bunch of people an email and asking them to be quiet is something I don't understand. This kind of behavior makes me feel tempted to do not honor their petition. What is wrong in sharing good news to everyone? My money is as good as that of the person next to me. Making me feel special is James' job (if he feels like it) when I'm in front of him waiting for an autograph or having my picture taken with him.

Yeah, you're right. Those who questioned the management for confirming the assistance of James to the Hub are now apologizing and thanking the clarification. Fear of being banned is worst than anything.

BTW, being banned of the Official Page means I'm also banned for future events? I don't think I'm welcomed anymore in the Marsters family even if yesterday they say I was a member. :D
