Monday Update

Okay confession time here. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am a pretty mellow guy. Usually moving with the currents and not letting much get me down or irritate me.

But..there is one thing that will absolutely drive me bug-nuts f*cking crazy.

That is when I misplace something - especially when I *know* exactly where I put it and can't understand how it could be lost.  Case in point I was working on the various systems we have at home to fix and update a few things. One of them being the laptop downstairs that the wireless card now doesn't want to connect with the access point upstairs. I had it working last week and now - well it knows the card is there but it can't seem locate the driver.

Anyhow I download the current driver from my workstation upstairs - took my two (yes now two USB keys) from  my key chain because the USB hub is in a narrow location. Moved the driver from my system to the USB key. Carefully stopped the drive and removed it from the hub - put the protective cap on....and I *though* I put them back in my right side pants pocket......grrrrrrr. I have been looking form them and so far no luck. If I find them I am gonna STAPLE them on to my key chain. Getting very tired of misplacing them.

Anyhow - had a good swim with Gina on Friday night - feels good to get back to exercising again. Still need to do more. Ate wwwwaaayyy to much of the goodies we got sent from our friend Hannah from the Trader Joe's she works at. So far avoiding the orange-flavored cranberries and the candied ginger.

Saturday was Halloween party over at roguewolf71 and bodandra house. A good time was had by all - got to see lots of folks. We even got to stay a little later because of the daylight savings time change. Woot!

This weekend I finally came up with a fix for the pizza cravings I have been having. Take one low carb tortilla, melt mozzarella cheese on it, spoon on a bit of spaghetti sauce, add on pepperoni, rocottia cheese if you want (I do) and some more mozzarella cheese. Nuke it in the microwave for 30-40 seconds - mmmmmmmmm pizza or close enough without really going overboard in the carb department. Now on to Mexican cuisine!

Tonight, grocery run, make some soup for sick friends and do the dishes - mundane life and all. Still waiting for patch 8 for City of Heroes.

food, computers, exercise, halloween
