Bout time for a new update here. Lets see work has been...well work. Health has been okay - still coughing off and on but for the most part I seem to be getting better.
City of Heroes just got done with Double Experience point weekend. So I was busy getting in as much time as I could I took a dual blade / super reflex scrapper “The Kensai” from 0-13 in two days. He looks pretty damn cool in white and gold samurai armor. Always nice to get compliments on costume design from other players.
This weekend I read “Valentines Exile” by E.E. Smith. (yeah if the book is good I can rip through a 300-400 page paperback in a couple hours) While there is some obvious cliches in the series (the gets it on like Captain Kirk) It is still a very interesting world that the author has created. I’ll give the author points for actually knowing the geography of the places where the protagonist travels.
I also started “At Swords Point” by Scott McMillian. This is a series originally started by Kathrine Kurtz. Mr McMillian is her husband. While the ideas are interesting is reads kind of like a cross between the “The DaVinici Code” and marvel comics “Hannibal King”. It’s not a bad read - just feels uneven at points.
Gina inspired me to come up with a new recipe “Spicy Tuna Roll Tuna salad” - Most of the stuff in a spicy tuna roll but in a salad form. It was really good for a first effort. maybe next time a bit more wasabi and a touch of soy sauce.
Gina also got me an early Valentines day present - a USB drink chiller/warmer. I am using it now and it works very well - keep my diet coke at a nicely cool 40 degrees. I’ll have to come up with something special for her later this week.
Not a whole lot going on aside of that - weather has been its usual winter/spring mix - 1 nice day where I think about getting the mopeds running followed by 3-4 days of utterly bitter cold crap.
