Inception post: Fanart for Andrealyn's Fire Favored (Arthur/Eames, PG-13) + Holmes fic babbling.
Preface: This is a fanart for andrealyn's glorious mutant!AU fic, Fire Favoured! It has firestarter!Arthur (EEEEEE!) and shapeshifter!Eames, so wonderfully in character! I love all the other team members and how their skills translate to mutant powers! Seriously, everyone should read it!

Disclaimer: I couldn't begin to comprehend how to think up something like Inception, so yes, it's not mine.
Contains: A fitting room, Eames with an unbuttoned shirt (hence the NWS), and tattoos...lots of them.
Notes: After reading the fic, the scene where Eames changes his tattoos around for Arthur really stuck as a mental image. I love tattoos and it was fun to try and come up with some.
-The picture itself started off with drawing Arthur's face (*sighs at JGL some more and shakes head*) and kind of went on from there. I used a mirror and 2 figure models (both male) to figure out how positioning.

In other fandom news, many people may not have known that earlier this year, I had fallen into the wonder that is Sherlock Holmes fandom *looks pointedly at lizardspots*. However, given time and artistic commitment constraints at the time, I was unable to draw anything or participate beyond being a lurker/ardent admirer from afar.
With Inception being so new and shiny and with fest commitments to h/d (my darling boys), the one thing, the one monumental event that could lure me back to Holmes fandom, has happened.
katieforsythe wrote new fic. And not just any new fic. Oh no. She wrote for her beautiful, epic, transcendent Love series (which spans the entirety of the Sherlock Holmes timeline and so effortlessly tells of a love that is, in the words of Holmes's dear Watson, "hallowed"). For those of you who know, you can just ignore the rest of my waxing on poetic because you understand and you feel it too. I will instead exchange expressions of wholehearted, squeeful delight (SHE WROTE SOMETHING NEW TO CONSUME AND REVEL IN) and a sincere and enthusiastic fistbump (or bro fist or however that goes)!!!
Seriously, if you are thinking about getting into Sherlock Holmes slash fandom (book canon in particular), there's no better, grander way to start. *can't even begin to describe the depths of her love for this author's writing other than to expose others to it*
