There are two Morris events this weekend, both outdoors (as is typical). I look forward to this weekend all year -- it's a lot of fun, and the afterparties usually have great singing. So...
The fruit tarts for tonight's potluck are in the oven. Part of my Morris kit is in the dryer, which has long since finished drying it (I do remember hitting the Start button, right?). Haven't practiced music, but I'll probably get away with it. Fixings for bag lunch for tomorrow are laid in. Had breakfast and caffeine. Still have 20-25 minutes in which to shower, get dressed, stick contacts in, assemble auxiliary backup vision stuff, and assorted out-for-a-day-with-Morris-team stuff.
And temperatures today will average 60 degrees F with a 50% chance of rain. Tomorrow, o joy, a 70% chance of rain.
Snarl. Both events are rain-or-shine, but lemme tell you, Morris dancing in rain is nowhere near as much fun as it sounds. [/heavy sarcasm]
We need a weather witch. Wonder if Granny Weatherwax (er, would you believe no pun intended? I thought not.) would take this one on...
