My Weekend in BC

Sep 02, 2004 07:32

... Well the wedding was a small one... 12 people total! Once the ceremony ended we made a few toasts, drank some champaigne... then we started drinking beer! After about 2 two hours of drinking, we all piled into taxi cab and went to a nice, fancy restaraunt... we were so loud there! LOL! We were there for about two hours... eating quality food and drinking hard liquor ( my drink of choice there was Caesars) ... I was still wearing my wedding outfit ( black cords and a white button-up shirt with the sleeves rolled up); but my shirt was unbuttoned now ( and i was wearing a tanktop underneath) and my hair was still tied back in a ponytail... I was telling everyone I looked like a frickin' Backstreet Boy! LOL! But hey, some of waitresses liked my outfit! In fact, I actually knew a couple of them from my old high school ( they are about 2-3 years younger than me) and one of them is my " ex-girlfriends best-friends sister" ( do you follow me there?) I wonder if she told my ex that I was back in town... I wonder if anyone in particular in BC fears me these days... like my OLD best friend, for example... but that's another story ( but you may be able to figure it out for yourself anyway, so...)

But yeah... there were some crazy things going on at the restaruant... I wish I had the pictures! LOL! I hope my aunt gives me hers, they were the funniest! By the time we were ready to go back home to party, my new sister-in-law had an unfinished baked potato... so I grabbed it, took a giant bite out of it, and spit it out onto the table (OZZY STYLE!!!)

Once we got back from our meal, the real party began! We cranked out the 80's tunes for a good 5 hours! I switched to Jack Daniels and Cola for the rest of the night \m/ my sis-in-law put her hair in a Flock Of Seagulls style hairdo LOL! My dad and I chatted for a about a half and hour just talking about my job and me living on my own in a big city.. He's proud of me, and said if I ever need any help, he'd help me in a heartbeat! Back a few years ago, me and my dad never really saw eye to eye... we didn't dislike eachother, we were just estranged... I think that could be the case for many people though... just the whole process of growing up... once you become a teen, you start to develop a more independent personality which can confuse the parent, whose used to being there and stuff... uhhh.. damn! Lost my train of thought... I was ramblin anyway!

All in all, I had a fun weekend! Oh! I almost forgot! I'm low on cash now due to a few factors: 1. my last paycheck was fucked up ( about 16 hours were missing... some kinda glitch... this is the second time this has happened) 2. Just payed rent 3. spent $200 just to go to BC and back and... 4. I found something really cool... I had to buy it!:
