The AIM session went a little something like this:

[20:43] Jarod PEZ: and just periodically decides he's something new

Okay, so this is a double-point post... 1) Tracy and I are totally cracked and 2) Jarod's crazy.
Alternate Jarod... he grew up in the Centre, only the whole experience made him nuts. He escaped, but he really needs to be in a mental institution. He's still a Pretender, but like the crack convo says, he thinks he can really become ANYTHING - animal, vegetable, mineral, inanimate objects... you name it, he thinks he can BE it. Nothing from the series itself is canon EXCEPT the flashbacks to the Centre, up through his escape. All the rest could never happen because he's insane.
He won't have been in the bar before - he's gonna walk in fresh.
