Dear boss-man:
I am very happy that you agreed to write recommendations for me. I appreciate that you're very busy, what with the big boss leaving on a trip for India, holidays starting, and you having a month-old baby at home.
I cannot help but notice, however, that the deadline for two of my applications have passed, and you haven't submitted your letter of recommendation for at least one of them (the one I could confirm online).
Please, please, PLEASE have mailed it in, or something silly like that. Please don't have let this slide. Because if you have, and either school gives me crap about it, I am going to be extremely pissed off. I will probably be tempted to punch you very hard, right in the face- particularly since I have been working very hard for you for the past few months. (I won't, because I like my job, but I will be thinking very seriously about it.) I will swear at you a great deal! And then I might want to kick you in the groin. And then in the face again a few times.
Just a friendly reminder!
Love, Mer
