Many, many thanks to those who helped us with the move! That was a sudden and unexpected stress for us and you all came through for us! Our ongoing gratitude!
When the apartment is no longer a sea of boxes, some celebration will be in order. For while the manner was not one of my choosing, we did escape the Black Hole of Baltimore (fond nickname for our previous apartment).
We actually have light in the new place. Maybe plants can even grow here ...
With the usual sense of perfect timing that occurs in these matters, I find myself suddenly looking for work. Heads had to roll, and the contractors are usually near the top of the list. I knew that contract wouldn't last much longer - I was working on a legacy system that was being phased out. Oh well, one of these days I will learn to jump ship before the leaks get too obvious.
