Still worried about Quidditch when you got a war on your hands? You can play your games when Voldemort is dead. You want to flit around the pitch, do you? I reckon you might as well paint a bulls-eye on your back!

If it's boredom you're facing, I can find plenty of work to keep you from being idle.

What are your feelings on cows?

I'm pretty sure I said I wasn't worried. Sorry, Auror Moody. I'll type more slowly next time if you're having trouble keeping up.

Maybe you didn't know this, but it was being good at games that got Harry and Hermione and me far enough for Harry to stop Voldemort when we were kids. Chess and flying and puzzles and suchlike. Maybe you shouldn't underestimate us.

Maybe you thought taking a bat and pretending Voldemort's head was a bludger would be enough to keep Potter alive. Wasn't that Diggory boy on the Quidditch team?

All the puzzles in the world won't stop an Unforgivable.

His name was Cedric.

I don't think he was thinking much about Quidditch when they killed him, but I'm sure you're very pleased that you've made some kind of point.

I wasn't aware that Constant Vigilance included Constant Sniping. Ever thought of pointing your malice in the right direction?

That was low even for you, Alastor. And for your information, my brother always played Keeper. Not Beater.

Just reminding the boy of what's important.
No lasting harm done.

That's right out of order, Moody. Cedric didn't have a chance to react; not everyone's as bloody perfect at anticipating Threats of Unparalleled Evil™ as you are. Constant Vigilance certainly seems to work, as I recall you're the one who spent my fourth year in a box.

And I would really prefer it if I weren't treated as though I'm some sort of trump card in your stupid war, thanks.
