Day One
Well the day is here. Day one of the two day Halloween Event... Should be interesting.
Because of the new plan for Saturday's festivities we don't really know what to expect from tonight or even tomorrow. Much of what they've prepared us for is to be flexible. We've trained for many possibilities and how, as a team, we can deploy and best handle things - but everything is fluid and so must we be. Thankfully I think this is very easy for officers and sergeants that work patrol to understand. After all, everyday we go to work it is fluid out there.
Of course we are hoping for the best on both nights and hope that there aren't many problems - but all that really depends on how the people that come act. I hope it's fun for everyone!

Here is a good shot of the crowds in the 500 and 600 blocks of State St, these crowds are still fairly light in numbers. Later everyone wants to be in the 500 & 600 blocks. It gets cozy out there!
