BARACK OBAMA IS THE 44TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!
That guy is going to be in History books, people.
I just watched the Inauguration.
I was actually moved :D I think he'll do good!!
Can the UK have a better PM now, please? D:,

Anyway - less monumental globally but important to me...
Click on the link for my story...
I am terrible at maths.
When I was little I was a total PRO at reading, comprehension, language, blah-de-blah (coz I am well a book-worm innit? XDD)
But maths? No.
Maths bores me.
It feels pointless coz I COULD be reading comics/drawing/talking.
Who the hell needs to know ALGEBRA for the love of fudge?
Anyway: I have a lot of friends who are really good at maths. Some of them ASTRONOMICALLY so.
Today I got given this maths question by a friend from a book for Year 6's (10-11 year olds) - and I am rubbish at ANY maths, even maths for PRIMARY SCHOOL level I'll bet. That's how bad I am. Seriously. Watch me counting money... £1.48 is a hellish amount to me... SERIOUSLY. DDD:
Anyway I forget the numbers but it looked like this:
5687657891??45Basically as you can see you just have to work out what the number in the box is. Don't focus on equations or whatever, just figure it out.
I'll give you time. It's really easy.
It took me 10 seconds. I freaked at first. But then got it.
...
Okay...the answer?
I will cross a line through it so you can't see it fully if you're still figuring it out:
Notice the first one is done for you? Switch 56's digits around and what do you get? 65! So then you simply do the same to 78 = 87 and then put 87 in front of your 65 and what do you get? 8765!!
Then for the one you need to answer it's: 91 = 19 and 45 = 54 so it's 5419!!
A bunch of the best mathematicians in the school could not work this out but I could.
(^-^)V I do not even care if I sound arrogant - this is a bloody miracle.
But...TO BE FAIR... Those guys work out extremely hard maths that would simply make my eyes bleed and result in brain stem death for me if I even attempted to READ their questions - they simply over thought the question: which is much easier than they're used to.
I just feel so proud that me: someone who can barely understand ANYthing related to maths managed it. I couldn't do the other questions, like. XDDDDD
I think I got it because whenever we're given puzzles I always read them backwards. I am good at reading backwards really... I heard it's a left-handed thing but who the eff knows? Anyway: YAY :DDD
ps: thank you to my ASTRONOMICALLY AWESOME AT MATHS PAL Eleanor for showing me the question and making my day.
XDD
