Batman?!

I've finally gotten to see the Dark Knight!! :D YAY!! I've wanted to see it for a while now!! And I wasn't let down either! It's such a good film, no wonder it's so popular! Normally, I'm not hugely impressed by superhero films (Iron Man and Hellboy being the exceptions) but this one was amazing. Seriously. It wasn't hilariously theatrical like past Batman films; in fact it was dark and quite tragic, bordering almost on gothic, but still believable. The atmosphere was quite realistic, and it wasn't like past Batman films where you sit there watching it and thinking to yourself that the plot is either too surreal or just plain wacky for reality. This film brought Batman to a new level: more mature, just a little bit more angsty then the usual, and all round believable. Scenes without the head villain (The Joker played excellently by Heath Ledger) made you on edge as you wondered what was going to happen next...and the chases, fight scenes, and villainous acts were both belieable and intense.
Albeit a little slow in some places, but overall: great characters, nice speed to it too. Batman was played very well, just like the caped crusader should be, and the dual personality (switching of voices) was a nice touch in my opinion (although I didn't expect it - haven't seen Batman Begins). Believed in Harvey Dent (pun intentional... >.<;;)! And the twist at the end was well done, as was Two-Face (that was much better than past incarnations of the villain) and his character worked well in the most intense circumstances and it was his character that had the most tragic scenes too. But the best character and acting had to go to Ledger's Joker. Amazing new look for the Joker: not a stretched face but a believable scarred maniac adorned with gothic makeup. Incredibly well acted (voice and movement all done well) and both hilarious and terrifying at the same time. Best villain in a superhero film in my opinion.
Overall: totally believable film... I mean, seriously, I don't think any other Batman film has been as good. My hat is off to the actors in that film and can't wait till it's on DVD!! :DDDD

Other news: L: Change the World has been watched several times and is now placed lovingly on my shelf!
Also: Results for GCSE next week. Yeah. IT SUCKS. But let's hope I did well.
And finally: Senses Fail have a song on Guitar Hero 3 and I hadn't realised. WILL be playing that tonight. XD

Much <3 :DD
