As any manga fan is aware, the Astro Boy franchise is probably the father of all modern manga and anime. The legendary series has received many anime spin-offs, and has captured the imagination and hearts of people worldwide for decades.

Somewhat related in that it involves anime: Have you ever watched Eden of the East? It takes a lot for me to get into anime (I like Ouran, of course, who doesn't, and was amused by Tweeny Witches, but that's it), but I sort of love that one.

Lol, it is so complicated! Basically you meet Saki while she's on a trip in DC, and she meets a very naked Takizawa Akira while there. Takizawa has no idea who he is (his memories were wiped) and he has a weird phone in his possession. Every time he makes a call, a woman named Juiz takes his order--if he wants a car, she gets it for him, etc. The story gets weirder and weirder and more hilarious as the show goes on. My only gripe is that Saki is a pretty useless sort of helpless maiden character, but otherwise it is pretty awesome. It's only 11 episodes and two movies, one of which came out last November and the other comes out in March.

My icon is Takizawa :D

ETA: The plot is basically Takizawa trying to regain his memories, but a bunch of other things come up too.
