Pride? Not

Originally uploaded by RandomopolisHaven't posted in a while due to increasing annoyances at work. I loathe looking for another job, but I think it has become time. I logged back on to Monster tonight for the first time in 4 years and started updated/revising etc.
This last weekend was Pride in Phoenix and I have to say I get more disappointed every year. I'm not a Stonewall or Harvey Milk era fag, but I've done my fair share of marches, was a member of ACT UP back in the day, etc. and I find the "Pride" festivities to be a bunch of crap for the most part. The park entry is too expensive, the booths are mostly knick-knack and double entendre T-shirts, being sold by people who I have serious doubts of being interested in the gay community at all, other than to make a buck. I feel older and older every year, as a bevy of twinks gets drunk on $5 cheap beer and margaritas and stumble around half naked, looking ridiculous. There were no speakers of interest, nothing empowering in the least.
So all in all, a wasted haircut and beard trim. Can you tell my job has put me in a shitty mood?
