Prompt #211: Old Acquaintance

Old Acquaintance

I have been alive one hundred and eighty-eight years. I have made a great deal of enemies acquaintances in that time. Most of them are dead now, I do believe.

There are some whom I wonder about, on occasion. Holocaust, I am quite certain he was killed by someone. I hope it was painful, I rather hated that bloody sod. Archangel--the world knows him now as Warren Worthington--was one of the few acolytes of Apocalypse that I was able to have a conversation with, though he was a bit dour on occasion. He has rejoined the X-Men, I believe, and likely regards me with the same suspicion as the rest of them do. Does he remember that we used to converse at length on Apocalypse's ship, and occasionally play chess? I do not know.

Autumn--she was who wore the mantle of Pestilence, when first I came to Apocalypse's service--I am fairly certain she must be dead. In fact, I seem to think I was there when it happened, but find I cannot recall the details. The Cajun thief, he became Death. I do not know what befell him when Apocalypse last fell. My Marauders are scattered, dead, or otherwise employed.

Recently, I have come to find myself with friends. It is most strange, and I do not know what will occur as the years pass. I do not think that I shall do anything extraordinarily unbecoming and horrify them off, however, my definition of extraordinarily unbecoming is betimes different than others. I am quite used to acquaintances and their eventual passing out of my life, yet I have not seen what happens when this occurs with those I actually--dare I say it--like.

It shall be interesting, regardless.

OOC: Sinister!Mun apologizes for her lengthy TM absence, and promises to return next week for RP purposes. Sinister has Christmas gifts, we'll just say he sends them after New Year's because the lines at the post office are shorter. :)
