Random list of things.

I've been meaning to update here, but I was waiting for an interesting-enough thing to happen. None did, but hey, more than half of my posts are always really just random. So here is a list of things realized, found out, etc. from the weeks that were.
  1. All that Photoshopping inspired by fandom/shipper manips (Draco/Hermione, La Corda d'Oro, what have you)? HOHO. PAID OFF. Half of the meaningful stuff I do in my internship involves Photoshop skills and integrating some sort of graphic design environment for a certain space. This, I am proud to say, is all thanks to those hours I used to waste in front of the computer, making icons, banners, manipulations, etc. for websites, for the competitions, for the shipper community, and for the shipping fun. :D
  2.  I miss fangirling as passionately as I did for DHr. *sigh* Or HP. Or something.
  3. Today we went to Fully Booked, and I bought my mom Lisa See's Peony In Love for her advanced birthday gift (it's a half-and-half gift, really, because I'll most likely read it first before she does! I believe Shanghai Girls has made me a fan of her writing, and sometime soon, I'll have to get myself a copy of her other book!).
  4. Along with that book, I bought a collection of Christina Rosetti's poems. A very random purchase, actually, as I wasn't intending to do so. (Honestly, I was going for a Hans Christian Andersen collection of fairy tales, but I couldn't find it, huhu D:) But it was so hard to pass up a poem collection with 'Remember'. I suddenly remembered Miss Duenas in Reading class in fifth grade, and how she made us read this beautiful, sad poem. I briefly browsed through the book after buying it, and will definitely be bringing it around in my bag now!
And just because:

Remember

REMEMBER me when I am gone away,
Gone far away into the silent land;
When you can no more hold me by the hand,
Nor I half turn to go, yet turning stay.
Remember me when no more day by day
You tell me of our future that you plann'd:
Only remember me; you understand
It will be late to counsel then or pray.
Yet if you should forget me for a while
And afterwards remember, do not grieve:
For if the darkness and corruption leave
A vestige of the thoughts that once I had,
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.
