I think I've mentioned that I love J'onn, but I think I'll say it again. For the record: I love J'onn. Also Batman. Always also Batman. Actually, I love all of them. I can't think of a single character I actively dislike. Diana sometimes gets on my nerves, but I still *like* her. I'm sad that this is the last episode, and then it's half hour eps for JLU, which I saw and was fairly unimpressed with, but will probably definitely download anyway.
And the bad continues to escalate from bad to Really Fucking Bad. To be continued! Aiiee!
Part II! Yoiks!
And, damnit, I've been *trying* to stop being actively, automatically wary of het pairings, because they're usually done so badly. Part of the reason that I read slash is that it's almost guarenteed never to be canon, so the Powers that Be don't have a chance to fuck it up. Which isn't actually true, but it's psychological. But it means that usually I am wary of any set up of "look, here's a guy and a girl so they're going to fall in loooove", because it always turns out badly. And it took me almost the entire two seasons to get behind Hawkgirl/GL, and then they actually *do* it and they're *cute* and then two episodes later RARRRG. And it's not that it's a *badly* done way of ending it... well, not sure, because I'm only a third of the way through, but... I'm sad it couldn't go on a bit longer. They were so happy.
Ah well... I suppose it means TPTB didn't get a chance to fuck it up. *sigh* But god, I hope this doesn't mean that they'll turn up the Batman/Wonderwoman on JLU, because *that* I don't think I could *ever* be happy with. I'm picky about Bats.
Okay, paying attention now... Wow, Diana was *awesome* right there. I think part of the reason I like the comics fandom is that on some level, I really do just like watching people kick serious ass. And that was some *serious* asskicking there.
