So I just finished season 1 of Justice League. I have marginal more respect for Wally and his talking gorilla foe. Although I'm still going to laugh at him, because... dude. Your nemisis is a talking gorilla. Wally is growing on me, slowly. He irritated me at first. Possibly I'm biased because in the comics I only know him through his being a jerk to Bart. I should really start reading those Flash backissues I have.
I like Hawkgirl. A lot. Granted, her entire personality pretty much consists of "HAWKGIRL SMASH!" but I like her anyway. Heck, that's pretty much The Midnighter's personality, too, and I like him plenty. It's just fun to watch her. Every situation- "Problem? Let me whack at it with my mace! That'll fix it!" I bet she's the sort of person who hits technology until it works. Possibly with the mace. My sketchbook is now filled with pictures of Hawkgirl in various stages of hitting things, and I should definitely turn at least one into an actual picture.
I also really like J'onn. Which is odd, because he's been sort of a non-entity to me up until now, but... I have a soft spot for aliens, I suppose. (see: Hawkgirl, Superman, and, in a different fandom, Spock) I spent all of the Jason Blood episode "awwing" over J'onn. (And being scared of his wife's terrifying Martian boobies, but... yeah.) My brother looked at me funny, but it was *sad!*
On another note... in Savage Time, is it just me, or did they not say the word "Nazi" throughout the whole thing? Are we not allowed to say "Nazi" on TV or something? Because, you know. There were Nazis. In WWII. This is kind of crucial.
The Bats/Supes hug at the end was cute. Poor Batman, who has *no* idea what's going on, and suddenly being *hugged*! By Superman! The indignity! (Alternately, a "Captain, not in front of the Klingons." moment.)
But, yes. Next season. *pokes download* Noooowww.
