I've made three "covers" for Breaking Dawn. I want to clarify that again: I made these covers, none of them are the official thing. And no, I do not have Alice's psychic powers so it isn't likely any of these will be close to the real thing....
Now that we have that settled: I wrote a little note for each cover explaining why I chose to make each cover as I did. I've expressed VERY Team Jacob views, so Edward lovers...beware.
Ps. you might wonder why I'm calling it "Extravaganza" when there are only three covers--it's because I plan to add more.
Cover One: Bitten Apple
Explanation: Yes, I know, I know--the first cover was an apple. But I thought that a bitten into apple would work for the cover of Breaking Dawn--Stephenie said something about the first apple being offered to Bella as forbidden fruit (the temptation of Edward and being a vampire). So in this book--she's bitten into the apple only to find that it's rotten. Vampirism isn't all it cracked up to be....
Cover Two: Snuffed out Candle
Explanation: From Jacob's point of view: Bella's life being "snuffed out"; vivid contrast to "Breaking Dawn" the title because Bella views this ending of her life as the beginning of a new life with Edward.
Cover Three: Transforming Flower cover
Explanation: This flower cover is different from New Moon's. The New Moon tulip is wilted, dead. This one is transforming into something beautiful--I thought it was very symbolic, even though I'd like to re-do it with the flower centered in the page.
