How do women put up living with men?
I am just beside myself reeling at the fact that I am back in the same position I was with the last couple of men that I have lived with. Sadly, the issue is that they behave like boys.
I am currently working 2 jobs: one full time at a dental clinic 35 hours a week, and a second at a retail store 6-12 hours. I am working 7 days a week. My boyfriend is a landscaper and tends to have a month or so off around this time of year and spends his time at home behind his Xbox or Playstation. That's fine - boys will be boys and I like my video games, too. I don't want to turn into one of those women harping about the games.
We have had a very trying year living together since we moved in last January and while the majority of the issues weren't 'us' issues they have most certainly brought out that 'we' handle things differently. Or not at all.
I have tried doing everything and leaving just two basic things: take out the garbage and empty the dish rack. I have done a chore chart which gets ignored. I have tried to get him help me while I clean which didn't go over well. And if I flat out just ask I get a major attitude. I cannot continue living with somebody that does absoloutely nothing. I think it would be pretty brutal to end a relationship over this ( and I'm sure I wouldn't be the first ) but this has GOT TO STOP. I do not have communication issues. I have tried to be understanding.
Please, advice? help? GAH!
