Death of the Mouse

Mar 26, 2007 15:26

After freaking out a few times some weeks ago, my elderly mac mouse has finally copped out and gave me the old f-you. No mount of connection tweaking, usb drive switching, eye cleaning, or cheese could persuade it to move on the screen. It was a swift and sudden death yesterday too, which has me puzzling a little. I had my computer set up at Nick's over the weekend, and it worked then. Not fifteen minutes after disassembling it and bringing it back tot he dorm, I find signs of not-working-ness. Enter my freaking out and going to bed pissed.

Sleeping on it, I see I was a bit harsh. It had a good run, and I should be thankful my actual computer lasted longer than its dear mouse and keyboard. I replaced the keyboard about a year ago now. ...While I', out buying a new mouse, I should probably buy a flash disk or steal some cd's from Nick to store my important files on BEFORE my computer goes wacky too.

In other news, spring break was great and relaxing. I actually did not spend the entire time at home, inside, on my computer. It was so nice out that I couldn't stand being inside. Adventures in graveyards, deer parks, Godfather's lunch buffet's, Betty Jo's, and the river front park ensued. Also, uncontrolable urged for Olive Garden after shopping in Lacrosse. Woohoo!

Also dyed the hair green on Thursday, and promptly drove back after the hair appointment to the cities! Where of course the next day was Anime Detour! WOOOOO!! So much fun. ^_^ Deffinitely have to cosplay again next year. And might I say I was the sexiest Envy there! Not entirely vanity in that statement. I think at least fifty people stopped me for pictures. And going by what Nick overheard after some of them... XD

I'm totally wiped out from it though. Worth it, however! Greg Ayers is the funniest man alive. The image of him banging on a wall and screaming 'butt sex' with the entire yaoi panel (not to mention him dj-ing the dance sat. night) will forever be a happy memory.

And I still have $40 left over from the entire weekend! Score a point for me.

Curently, I'm avoiding writing a two-page response paper for a class tomorrow morning, or as I like to call them: BOOK REPORTS. >.< I hate writing papers on books I've read, especialy if I didn't like the book. The books so far have been not in my particular taste of good reading. The last one wasn't bad, but I just don't want to write the damn thing. I don't like this class! ::whine:: I will not withdraw though. That would be dumb since it's already half over and I need the course letter. Still. Lameness.

Now, I be returning to my Librarias Quietess. Until 5 when Nick can take me to get a new mouse and return to my own computer! Away!
