Fünfzehnte: Weaving a Story
*Asuka is sitting in the hangar, staring at what's left of her Evangelion, nearby to what's left of the other two*
Asuka is alone in her darkened entry plug, Unit 02 completely shut down, the last second nerve connection separation the only thing that had saved her own spinal cord from ceasing all activity when Unit 02's head was severed.
"Dammit...dammit...you bastard..." Lungs shouted out and radio transmitter completely gone, Asuka can only mutter softly at the Angel that had so thoroughly beaten her as it walks past towards its next targets...
Stupid. Stupid.
"T-that thing... did it just kill Asuka?" she hears over her radio feed.
"Moron," Asuka says, "like this would..."
Her hearing fills with the sound of weapons fire and explosions, muffled by her LCL as the others engage the Angel. "Idiots. I know you want to run away, so why don't you?" she mutters, unheard and unhearable, only able to listen.
Suddenly, there are people shouting Wondergirl's name among the explosions of the other GDF units. "The hell is she doing? MISATO!" Asuka yells, hoping to get her communications to work with sheer volume. "TELL ME WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!"
Then, there's an explosion - Asuka can feel the impact herself, even with no connections to her Evangelion. "Did she just...? She..."
I couldn't do anything. I was supposed to protect that idiot and then he outdoes me and just...disappears.
Like everyone.
"If you don't have any missiles... then fight using the missile in your heart!"
"...did someone seriously just say that?" Asuka wonders, as shortly thereafter a final explosion can be heard as the last remaining mech besides Unit 01 is blasted from the field.
"Is it really down to Shinji?" she wonders. "That idiot...I have to...I can't let him..." The sounds of crashing and shouting - shrill, but surprisingly manly shouting - come in over her radio. "He's really doing it...shit! MISATO! NERV! TURN MY NERVE CONNECTIONS BACK ON! I HAVE TO HELP HIM! I'LL KICK THE FUCKING THING TO DEATH!"
Suddenly, the crashing stops and Asuka hears Shinji's screams as his power goes dead. She screams in rage and jams away at the rocker controls inside her entry plug. "YOU IDIOTS TURN THIS EVA BACK ON OR I'LL KILL YOU SO HARD YOUR ANCESTORS WILL RISE FROM THEIR GRAVES JUST TO DIE AGAIN! DO YOU HEAR ME?! DO YOU HEA--"
