Alice introduced me to
Dream Dinners, which I'm trying for a month. Basically, busy people go to one of their super-organized kitchens and pre-assemble a bunch of meals at once to take home and throw in the freezer.
For me, it means a variety of recipes and guaranteed success in the kitchen for 12 future nights. Which makes Boyfriend happy, since I haven't ventured into the kitchen for like 9 months. And he somewhat respects it because they use high-quality ingredients direct from the farms. Plus, it's the perfect balance between my need for detailed instruction and his need for creativity.
The results so far!
It tricked me a little bit, though...in a good way. Even though you prep the meals in 2 hours at Dream Dinners, you still have to spend 20-30 minutes cooking each one. But since DD compresses food prep (my biggest turnoff from cooking), I don't mind the trick.
