The Comphrensive Guide to the DC Relaunch

So I've been following the reboot/relaunch whatever thing of DC's, but it became hard for me to keep track of all the titles they were coming up with.  For my ease and for everyone else, here is the complete list of the announced DC titles with their covers, writers, artists, and blurbs.  The GL Corps, Red Lanterns, and The New Guardians never ( Read more... )

Thank you SO MUCH for making this list!

Yeah, I got surprised at the lack of Super titles as well. A bunch of them are probably those "yet to be revealed" titles, but I'm still crossing fingers for Cass and Steph showing up in one of them.

They are doing the debuts in themed groups. All the bat titles were 1 day, the 'supernatural' books another, the 'teen' books yesterday... the Superman titles will all be released in one big block in the next day or so is my guess.

Your welcome! It's hard to keep up with everything they're coming out with.

What coldfiredragon said. What I'm more surprised about is that DC doesn't think the Supes titles are interesting enough that they gave away details of "DC's Dark side (Voodoo through I,Vampire) before big blue. Granted, those titles are some of the most intriguing (and original) on the list, but still Big Blue is arguably the most iconic DC/Comic Book characters, and Captain Atom gets a confirmed ongoing before him? Sounds really, really odd.

And I'm REALLY hoping they just forgot to add "Kickass besties Cass and Steph fighting crime" in their Bat titles, because that would be the greatest thing ever.

They will probably end with the set of Super titles, because they know that its something everyone wants so they are ramping up expectations. It was kinda the same thing when they released the Batman titles with no mention of Timmy. The forums buzzed 'Where's Tim?' for days then when the Titans announcement came out everybody pounced on it.

Its very savvy of them in all honesty. They kicked off the announcement with a mix of 10 titles, then gave us the Lanterns, then the Bats, then more middle generic niche comics in the middle. Honestly, if you announce your Bat, Super, and Lantern titles ALL in the first salvo who really cares what comes after? You have the majority of your fanbase sated because they know where their favorite heroes are.

This announcement structure's all about holding public interest.

Very true. By the time I finished replying to everyone I figured as much. DC is milking this for everything it's worth.

Bleeding Cool claims to have the covers of Superman, Superboy, and Supergirl: http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/06/09/dc-relaunch-a-brand-new-look-for-superman-supergirl-and-superboy/

They look legit, but I'm not adding them until I get a solicit/they turn out to be official.
