So I finally got to Venice. After a 10 hour train ride, having missed my train, and had to take the next one I arrived here last night at 9pm, I left Vienna at 7am... That is crudy, but only the beginning. I got off at the wrong stop, and then had to try and figure out how to get to the right stop, in a station that everything was closed and no one spoke english. Somehow the travel gods where shining down on me and I made it to the right stop. Then I find at 10pm, when I got there that the buses had stopped running and my place was way the hell out of town. Pretty much next to tears, I took a 15 dollar cab ride to my place, where 2 guys who spoke as much english as the people in the station took my passport, told me I would get it in the AM, with little explaination....The plus was that they took me to an upgraded room, with its own bathroom, and NO ROOMATES!!! I do not think that I can explain how much I am loving have a space to call my own!!

This morning I got up, took the shuttle bus into Venice and fell in love. Wandered around the streets, ate REAL gelato, skected a bit ate some gelato, wandered, more gelato. Bought myself a romantic dinner on the canal, drank and entire bottle of wine...when in Italia I guess... Pretty much I am living the eat section of Eat, Pray, Love...it is pretty great...

Plans for tomorrow..repeat...

For now I sleep off my gelato, wine haze...
