So, I just played a show. It was pretty cool. The sound onstage sucked balls, but apperently on the crowd side it was cool. One of my friends from Great Southern Music came out, and a couple of dudes from House of Guitars showed up. One of my friends from HOG said he was pleasently surprised by the musicianship from the band, and said that I sound and play like a bass player, not a guitarist playing bass. Great compliment. I've been drinking and smoking since I got off stage, so I'm a little spacey and rambley right now.
I knew that it would be a good show tonight because:
a) I'm starting to get a side project together with some of my friends. And it seems like I'm going to have a whole lot of creative control. Finally a forum to jam some of the shit in my head. Slivered's a great group of musicians, which I have NO interest in leaving, but I'm bottlenecked because I'm the 4th songwriter in the group, and lowest on the totem pole in that respect.
b) I found my knife. I thought I'd lost it for good. Apparently I forgot to put it back in my pocket after I cut the mic off the jerry-rigged mic/cymbal stand that I used to record. Either that, or it fell out of my pocket after I put it back. Either way, I FOUND IT.

Shit typing is hard after 3 beers, a glass of wine, and a nice post-set bowl. I'm signing off, leave some comments on the side project, of whatever. Slivered's got an EP coming out very soon, I promise. Check out our myspace to hear two of the tracks from the upcoming album. They're good, and for how good they are, when we record our full lenght LP they're going to be re-recorded with our new drummer. I lock up with our new drummer like a dead-bolt. We kick ass as a rhythm section. I'M OUT

slivered, coolness, music
