You know those movies that you used to watch obsessively as a kid, and then for one reason or another haven't watched in forever? (grew out of it, became a teen and decided you had to grow out of it, simply became obsessed with something else and subsequently forgot it existed and probably have dismissed it as "aw I loved that movie as a kid", etc ( Read more... )

I have never seen All Dogs Go to Heaven, and that summary just made me want to watch it, lol. Although you know, I feel like the movies I saw when I was a kid are all.. I see them again upon second viewing and there's always things that I really did miss as a kid. I still watch kids' movies, and I think they're still relevant to me because I feel like they're growing up with me and are clever and more mature than the movies when I was younger, but I feel like really, it's just me growing up and realizing kids' movies have always had a little something for adults too.

I saw Land Before Time a lot when I was younger too, but I don't think not as much as you did. We had some viewings in school or something, but we went through the sequels too, haha. I don't know what'll happen to me if I watched it again. :P

Oh man, you will have to see it. It's mental, lol. I totally agree too - I still watch kids'/family movies and still enjoy them and find them relevant. There's little adult jokes embedded in a lot of them that you completely miss as a kid and adds a layer watching it as an adult.

You went through the sequels?? I assume just the first few sequels, right? 'Cuz I think there's came a point when it was way past ridiculous how many sequels they'd made, so they stopped adding numbers to it, haha. I think I only ever saw #2, and it was ok-ish, and the others just looked so bad after that.
