for the rotary drilling we do we use a subastance called "mud". its pretty much a quick drying liquid component that gives the walls of the hole support so it doesnt cave in everytime we pull the bit out. Normaly i would jus consider it a rubbery smell...but after literaly being covered in it and being sprayed with it, it now makes me sick to even catch a whiff of it.considering all my work clothes have been soaked in it...i have to smell it.
The work isnt the toughest...its just constant same motions over and over...its like working at stream, but outside and with big pipes.Last week i worked 64 hours, as much as i hate to say it i like it this way, it gives me no time to think of other shit, i'm jus to tired to care honestly. and plus the fat paycheck will be nice.
the one complaint about it i do have is that the guy who went through the training with me and was hired at the same time has only been on geo probes...those are pretty much thin rods rammed into the ground no more than 50ft...u dont get dirty at all and he was home by 4 everyday of last week.it seems like every new job i go to they throw the shit can at me before they do anyone else. maletis, i worked the mexican side of town, that equals complete beer restocks every weekend day...twice. stream...stream was jus stream it sucked dick.wdi, my 1st day i worked a 14hr install in some overly hot office building in ne portland. and now this.
i crave the day when i can jus wake up, play golf, bang my 23 year old house keeper and walk around the beach in my leapord print mankini all day
