I miss school.

However, this summer has had perks of its own thus far.

I just found out that I get to volunteer all three days of Lollapalooza, which means I get to see a.) Death Cab for Cutie b.) Of Montreal c.) The Flaming Lips d.) Jack White's new band, the Raconteurs e.) The Shins f.) Andrew Bird, and g.) oh so many more for FREE!!

Examine and be jealous:

I'm also having tons of Tut fun at the Field every Thursday, so everyone should come and visit sometime. It's Emily in all of her nerdy glory.

My internet connection has been in and out lately, so my online time has been quite limited. I was truly spoiled at college... curse you Comcast!!

Summer school is eh. The class itself is pretty boring and is a lot of review, but its better than nothing. All we do it stare off into space while the teacher talks and then watch movies. For 4 credit hours and (hopefully) an A? Not a bad deal. My sympathy goes to Mal, who has to suffer 5 hours of class on Wednesdays.

I might also mention that I'm trying to culture myself by watching all of Akira Kurosawa's movies this summer. I believe there is a lot, and I've seen three so far (Stray Dog, Ran, and Ikiru, but ironically I haven't seen Seven Samurai yet...). Anyone let me know if you're interested. My other idea was to watch one cult film a week, but that hasn't really been working out. "Cult" is such a vague term...

Speaking of cult classics, is anyone interested in seeing Rocky Horror this summer? I have obtained the necessary info. for such an endeavor, but am not at all confident with going by myself (understandibly).

K, that was a lot of writing. Kudos to those who've suffered through it.
