You might or might not have noticed, but in the past month or so many journals have been suspended without warning or notification by LJ. This appears to be because LJ implemented a new script to catch spambots, except this new script seems to potentially mark as spam any post containing links that go out of the site (to Mega, MediaFire, etc.) Once a journal has been marked as "spambot," it will be deleted without warning or notice.
How can I prevent this?
Well, you can't. Try crossing your fingers and not posting links anymore, I guess.
My journal has been suspended! What can I do now?
Immediately contact LJ support, and explain clearly what happened, making sure to mention you are not, in fact, a computer operated spambot. Cross your fingers again, too, because this isn't a 100% guarantee that you'll get your account back.
Anything else I can do?
Create a DW account and import your entries for backup (both journals and communities can be easily and quickly imported, that means both entries and comments will be mirrored.) The importer tool is
here, the relative FAQ is
here if you need it.
