In this journal I will be reccing fics that I like. I only rec fics based on my own personal feelings about the fic and every fic recced will be a fic that I have read. I will rec fics from whatever fandom I am reading (these fandoms include: HP, Star Wars, X Files, BTVS, Angel, House, Highlander, DC Comics, etc.), my tastes are wide and depend on my mood.
One thing to keep in mind: I read mainly slash fanfiction. While I read some het and gen, for the most part I read slash, if this is a problem then this is not the place for you.
I rec fics based on whether or not I like them. I will not rec fics I don't like. I will not rec fics I haven't read. I will not rec fics with such poor grammar that it detracts from the story. I will only rec fics I like and which in my opinion are good.
I will have a master list of fic in my memories which will sort fics by fandom and pairing within fandom for easy access.
Now on to the recs:

Pairing: SS/HP
Summary: After the war, Severus goes looking for peace. Harry goes looking for Severus. Severus finds strength in himself, but will he also learn to bend?
Rating: PG-13 almost gen or pre-slash
Length: Short
"The Stick" is a unique story with an unusual twist which is intriguing to me. I loved this story because the author doesn't rush the story, the 'relationship' between Harry and Snape builds slowly. I was wooed by the meticulous detail the author shows (ex. the attention shown to Severus's form through the seasons).
Howdy by Juxian Tang at
Pairing: SS/RL
Summary: Challenge # 83: Snape and Lupin each (separately) make a decision to adopt a child. And they're both stubbornly determined to adopt *the same* child.
Rating: PG-13
Length: Long
I like this fic for a couple of reasons first the characters are believable and IC. Snape is still snarky and unpleasant but he is also human and has feelings which are shown. The Snape in this story grows and develops as a person while remaining true to the original character Rowling created. Juxian wrote a story which ignores tired cliches and instead shows a new take on these characters. Lupin is not a tired, depressed, poverty stricken werewolf; he is a person with problems and pleasures in his life. This story shows how a relationship between these two people could work and makes the reader ache for the characters to figure out their problems and get together. Next, Howdy, Juxian's original character, is refreshingly original and fun. Juxian took the time to fully develop this character, and make the reader care about his welfare which is nice. There are other aspects I liked about the story like the attention to details and description that I will allow you to discover for yourself: go read it!
