Since it's not snowing nearly as bad, there were some efforts to start shoveling away the mounds of snow from walkways and such. Even with as many people as there were helping, it still ended up being a lot of work, and I don't even feel like we got much done

Don't tell me you're going to nitpick over trifles now? You could be a servant and made to shovel the streets with far less help than you likely had today. In comparison, it's nothing more than a bit of light exercise.
